June 8, 2008 Lake Pahoga

I did not take the time yesturday to make an entry so let new breifly recap that first. Kay and I left at 8:am for our standard early morning ride on the bike path. It was a beautiful morning. Light breezes, cool temps and very little traffic on the path. It was very uneventful although I would be remise if I did not state for those keeping track that Kay now has five points. So all in all it was a nice uneventful ride. I did end up racing with a young lady starting at about the Penitentiary hill. It was Innocent enough. She would pass me, I would pass her. Nothing was said, we did not even acknowledge what was going on although we both new. By the time we got to Tuthill Park I had a nice little lead and decided to pull over and wait for Kay. After I did and while I was standing there the young lady came riding by. As she did she said "Thanks that was fun." The first acknowledgement that e had indeed been toying with each other.
Today we decide to take the boats over to Lake Pahoja. It is 19 miles east of us and it is a really nice lake with a very well kept park area and beach. We paddled around the lake 1.5 times and I never did fine an inlet or outlet for that matter. I love to follow the narrow creeks that flow in and out of most of the lakes around here. It was really nice. There were a few other boats on the lake, but mainly fisherman on the shorelines. We paddled for about and hour and a half and decided to head for home. It is a nice lake, Water was very clean, the park is well kept and the access area is great. If it has any draw backs it would have to be that it is not very big. Just right though for a Sunday afternoon paddle.
