Darn..wish I had gotten this mesage sooner. We probably would have been there. We will be joining FAB. We are going riding at Two Wheeler Dealer at 4PM today. We have been riding on our trainers on Wednesdays at 7PM and Sundays at 4PM. There were fifteen of us Wednesday night. Hope you had a good ride.

You and Kay going to join FAB this year? The Wandering Wednesday ride out of Rowena is scheduled for May 13, June 24, July 29, and Aug. 2.
Of course, we have more than that, but that is the sked for Rowena.

Thanks for your comments. I have placed the photo of the stucture on the blog, dumb me. If you know what it is please let me know. Hope we can paddle together sometime. Just keep an eye on the SDCA blog for up coming paddles, or if your coming to the Sioux Falls area again to paddle let me know. There are lots of small lakes to paddle.

Well - I don't have any biblical advice - but I enjoyed your post about the Jim River expedition. Was looking for the photo of the unknown structure? I live in Mitchell, and I will be checking back to the SDCA Web site more often to find out when the next trip is.

I'm new to Kayaking but it seems I've hit some of the spots you have.
On Monday, I spent a day off from work on Lake Alvin. I've also been to Splitrock Creek, (and Lake Marindahl, which was great)...

Ed, that was a dramatic moment on the water, an event about which most of on the lake were unaware. You were the "man of the hour" and I would be glad to have you paddling alongside me in any rough conditions: Good Show!

It was good of you two to go back the next day to gather missing data. It was a little rough out there on Grass Lake toward the end of our event. I was unable to gather data on depth, and it just never occurred to me to simply dip the paddle in and estimate the water depth.

Jarett Bies shoud feel a sense of satisfaction about how the pool rescue training at the YWCA turned out.

Glad to hear more folks are enjoying Grass Lake, it's truly an under-used jewel as small lakes go (and paddle sports.)
